What you get
This is a laser-focused, 60-minute session where we tackle your biggest training, programming, or lifestyle challenge head-on. No fluff, and no templates.
You’ll tell me what your one or two biggest roadblocks are, we’ll discuss options, and together build a plan that works to remove them. One at a time, on your timeline.
We’ll dig into what’s actually holding you back, whether that’s:
Exercise selection that doesn’t fit your body or goals
Programming that looks good on paper but doesn’t work in practice
Strategy gaps—knowing what to do, but not how to sequence it in the short and long term
Modifications for injuries, limitations, or life circumstances
Behaviour change and habit formation that actually sticks
By the end of the call, you will have clarity on what to do next, and depending on the problem, a tailored plan to implement it over the next few weeks or months.
How it works

Step two: Have the session. Talk through your challenges. Build a plan you can be confident and happy with. We’ll meet on Google Meet or by phone (cameras off if you prefer, no need to dress up).

Who am I?
My name’s Danny James. I’ve been a fitness/strength and conditioning coach for almost twenty years. I write about health and human performance and have a small coaching circle of long-term, in-person and online clients.
They’re the best–athletes, high-performing execs, Olympians, grandmothers, and everyone in between.
I don’t have a niche. Anyone who is coachable, decisive, and wants help to move better, feel better, and live better has my full support.
My approach to training and programming is a client-centred, evidence-informed one, with simplicity and flexibility underlying everything we do. You simply will NOT believe how easy this fitness thing really is.
